ABOUT QUÉBEC

In October 2009, Quebec City, capital of the province of the same name, will have the honor to host the twentieth International Conference on Rabies in the Americas (RITA XX).

RITA XX will conduct you to the doors of Old Quebec. As a matter of fact, Loews Le Concorde, the hotel where the meeting will be held, is only a two minute walk from the fortifications of the old city. You will be in the heart of the oldest city of “New France”. European architecture, pedestrian streets, fortifications unique to North America, great culture, fine food, French language and a warm, welcoming population, all are here to give you a pleasurable change of scenery.

Quebec City offers you an uncommon historic and cultural heritage. A visit to the Plains of Abraham, famous site of battles between France and England at the beginning of the colony, and Old Quebec, world jewel of UNESCO, will give you the opportunity to discover 400 years of history.
